Synopsis
Testimonials from the women’s group at Mashteuiatsh Puakuteu fill this intimate short film about grief and healing. In doll-making workshops, the women share their doubts and hopes and, in doing so, build a space of strength and solidarity.

Comité De femmes PuakuteuA community organization in the Indigenous community of Mashteuiatsh, Puakuteu promotes projects for women and young people. It was founded in 2012, when a group of women from the community wanted to raise awareness about the history and lasting scars of residential schools. Honouring residential school survivors, their descendants and their families.
