A darling of the festival, this competition includes 20 incredible short films spread over three distinct programs, including the unmissable Shoot No Matter What! and 100% Régions – now united in a double bill presented on Friday evening in the main hall. We also find the welcoming Americana program, an hour-and-a-half escape from the cold to the warmth of Latin American countries, signed by Jaime Mainrique of the Bogota Short Film Festival. Here in the Parallel Competition, the vast territory of the three Americas is put on a pedestal for all to see: Shoot No Matter What! celebrates independent French-speaking Canadian talent, 100% Regions ensures greater visibility for out-of-the-way filmmakers, and Americana targets young creators from South America.
